Hello, and welcome back to The Kable. After an extended period of mostly slow news days, today's Kable, while not quite bursting at the seams, is bursting at the seams, bulked up it would seem with a whole host of dealmaking.
Polio is resurgent around the world. A lot of the resurgence is of the vaccine-derived kind. A lot is due to vaccine deniers. A host of illnesses for which vaccinations exist are not being eliminated because anti-vaxxers exist. One of the most extensive sets of anti-vaxxing populations on the planet is marine. Fish, specifically. Although in their defence, they can say that vaccines for fish don't exist. Well, not anymore, little fishes. Indian vaccine maker Indian Immunologicals is developing commercial antibacterial vaccines for freshwater fishes.
