Hello, and welcome back to The Kable as we welcome the last Monday of November 2022.

In China, daily Covid cases continue to set new daily records, with Beijing yesterday reporting 4,307 new coronavirus cases, the biggest one-day increase on record so far. People in the country seem to have finally reached the end of their limits with its Zero Covid policy, leading to angry protests across China. Experts have suggested it may be time for China to end mass PCR testing and focus resources on severe cases instead of the large-scale lockdowns we've been seeing till now.

Nearly 2 million chickens in Nebraska, US, joined their 50 million cousins who've migrated to the great big chicken coop in the sky this year.

In the UK, health ministry officials say they're willing to talk with nurses who're threatening to go on strike over pay issues. However, the British health secretary also says their previous pay hike offer to nurses was fair and that the nurses' association is asking for an unfair increase.
