Hello and welcome back to The Kable, where Philips is joining the list of big players in life sciences to plan layoffs. The company's newly appointed CEO announced the planned cuts while delivering the Q3 financial results. Philips plans to lay off 4,000 people around the world, with the bulk of the layoffs planned for the US, the Netherlands, India and China, the four biggest markets in terms of Philips' employer base.
