Hello, and welcome back to The Kable for a surprisingly slow news day. How slow? So slow, an outlet in South Korea wrote an entire article on the spelling of Novo Nordisk's new Korea GM's name.

Gavi and Moderna have scrapped their existing supply deal for Covid vaccines through Covax and replaced it with a deal for Moderna's new variant-adapted shots.

India's Serum Institute is making 20,000 to 30,000 shots of the Sudan Ebolavirus vaccine candidate for trials in Uganda.

On the WEF blog, Gavi's CEO writes about how it is good (and essential for the whole world) to ramp up manufacturing in Africa. Separately, Gavi has not yet placed a single order from Africa for Africa-made vaccines. Afrigen has already shuttered its self-branded J&J vax line because of zero (0) orders.

China's Suzhou Abogen Biosciences, whose mRNA Covid vaccine was recently cleared in Indonesia, also has the green light for trials in the UAE.
