Hello, and welcome back to The Kable. News has been light for a couple of weeks. A shout-out to scientists, researchers, and R&D teams everywhere for prolifically pumping out studies, even as life sciences folk everywhere travel to expos and conferences and prepare to wind down the year.

Today's Kable takes off with the news that researchers from UC San Diego Sanford Stem Cell Institute are sending stem cells into space, laying the groundwork for eventual colonisation.

And over in India, cops say rats aren't afraid of them. And that said rats stole 200 kgs of cannabis from police stations in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
